About Raikes Farm
Raikes Farm is a 16th century listed farmhouse in the Staffordshire Moorlands. It is located in the centre of southern half of the Peak District National Park – the White Peaks. Hartington, a Derbyshire Dales popular destination for visitors is less than a mile away across the Dove river, the county border.
We came to Raikes Farm looking for somewhere to settle and fell in love with the place. With an open view across the Dove valley at the hills beyond we wake up every morning to appreciate the changing and yet timeless landscape. We have converted the old stables which is located in the same building as the farmhouse and the calf barn next to it into self catering accommodation and love meeting and welcoming guests from near and far.
We look forward to your stay.

place
the B5054 runs through what was once the farmyard. The 442 Bus from Buxton or Ashbourne will stop at the farmhouse.
Peace
the road has regular traffic during the day, including walkers, cyclists, agricultural and other vehicles. It is quiet in the evening.
The sheep can be noisy.
Pets
- we welcome pets with their owners. We have a number of sheep and hens so need to make sure that dogs are always on a lead when outside.
